for nvidia graphic cards you should disable all ddraw settings and enable all directx. your graphic card should be multiplied with agp/pcie slot: 200mhz/66, 266/66, 333/66, 400/66, 466/66, 533/66 etc. for agp. for pci-e 266 mhz/133, 400/133, 533/133, 666/133, etc. and then you get best 2d/3d performance.
